From the simplest and most conventional itineraries to alternative itineraries for those who have the time, enjoy adventure and a more intense contact with the region.

Routes outside the conventional circuit can be done by chartering vehicles or by forming interest groups that share freight to the same destination. We also organize trips to Parnaíba (PI), Jericoacoara (CE) and the Route of Emotions – Lençóis-Delta-Jericoacoara.

Conventional Routes
RC-1- Lagoa Azul / Lagoa do Peixe in the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park by 4×4 vehicle. Duration: Approx. 6 hours
RC-2- Beautiful Lagoon in the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park in 4×4 vehicle. Duration: Approx.6 hours.
RC-3- Rio Preguiças, Vassouras (APA Paulino Neves), Mandacaru (Lighthouse) and Caburé (Beach – Lunch) – on speedboats. Duration: Approx. 6 hours
RC-4- Atins, Beach, Village, Canto do Atins, Restaurante do Antônio (Lunch / best grilled shrimp dish), Ponds / Lençóis Maranhenses National Park in 4×4 vehicle. Duration: Approximately 8 hours
RC-5 – Town of Cardosa and descent by riverboat on Formiga river. By 4×4 vehicle up to the river’s edge. Optional lunch at Dona Ivonete’s Restaurant, the best hickory chicken in the region. Quiet, relaxing walk in individual buoys. A calm river without waterfalls or strong rapids. Suitable for the whole family and all ages. Duration: Approx. 6 hours
RC-6 – Tour to Lagoa da Esperança. Recommended especially in the dry season when the most visited ponds dry faster. The Lagoa da Esperança is a perennial lagoon that is also in the Lençóis Maranhense National Park. It has water all year round and a nice native community with whom one can share some pleasant moments.
All itineraries are flexible because of the various tour options available. The Encantes also works with personalized itineraries. You can define with our staff the best script, or mix of scripts, according to your interest, available time and budget. The times given are approximate because they depend on many variables. Tours do not include meals.
Alternative Routes
RA-1 – Quad biking (APA – Paulino Neves) from Barreirinhas to Caburé (Beach) through the APA dunes, with stops for bathing in the river sloths or lagoons – Lunch at Caburé and return dunes A fantastic adventure. Duration: Approx. 9 hours
RA-2 – Tours to the city of Santo Amaro, Swallow Lagoon in the National Park of Lençóis Maranhenses – Visit to Bethania, beach of the merry river, in a 4×4 vehicle. It can be done in three ways; from Barreirinhas go back and forth on the same day (Duration: 10 hours) Return and return the next day with overnight in Santo Amaro (Duration: approx 26 hours). Go, overnight in Santo Amaro and continue to São Luis (Duration: Approximately 28 hours).
RA-3 – Visit the Tapuio Flour House, where you can follow the whole cassava flour production process, take a bath on the river beaches of the Preguiças river tasting Maria’s snacks, a prose finger and a cold beer – Transport in Voadeira (Speedboat) Duration: approx. 4 hours
RA-4 – Overpass on the National Park of Lençóis Maranhenses, Preguiças River, Caburé, Mandacaru, Atins, Coastal and Barreirinhas – Transport in aircraft for 5 people. Sensational.
