Cardosa

Cardosa is one of those places where you feel in perfect harmony with nature. The small Village of Cardosa which belongs to the municipality of Paulino Neves  but is closer to the center of Barreirinhas. A trip of  an hour and a half takes the traveler to the village and to River Formiga,a swimming spot , a serene river, with its crystal clear and shallow water  , where you can practice the most relaxing rides in the area of Lençois.

You can ride down the river floating , using a life jacket or  a buoy for around  one hour , slowly  down the winding  bed  of the river while observing the surroundings native vegetation with its stately Buriti palm trees.

The mild current provides a delicious and refreshing ride where you can enjoy a pleasant bath  and  at the same time contemplate the nature around without no rush. We recommend this tour on  your last day of stay,as a relaxing preparation for your long journey back home. If the tour is done in the morning , a good hint is having  lunch at the village.
