SURROUNDINGS

1. Field of free dunes: the biggest field of coastal dunes of America.

2. Restinga: concentrates the biggest biodiversity of the park.

3. Swamp: on the west side of the park.

4. Coast zone: 1 km coastline from the beach, about 70 km in lenth.

5. Largo de Santo Amaro: the biggest body of the park.

6. Primitive zone: it is a very important area and the most restricted of PNLM, it includes Queimada dos Britos and Baixa Grande. Cars are not allowed.

TOUR AREAS

a. Lagoa Azul ride: a 10 km journey by 4x4 car and light walk from the dunes up to the

lagoons.

b. Lagoa Bonita ride: a 15 km journey by 4x4 car and walk from the dunes up to the lagoons, it's necessary to climb a very steep dune, which requires to be in good shape.

c. Lagoa da Esperança ride: permanent lagoon of dark water, a 20 km journey by 4x4 car and light walk.

d. Foz do Rio Negro ride: from the Atin Village, a 20 km journey by 4x4 car along the beach.

e. Ponta dos Lençóis ride: walk in restinga áreas, fields and dunes, passing through Ponta do Mangue e Canto Atins.

f. Mandacaru: a fishing village around the park, where there is a navy lighthouse.

g. Caburé: narrow sand line between the ocean and Preguiças River, around the park.
